This webinar will build on the material from the previous webinar and will demonstrate how acausal model component models can be composed into hierarchical assembly and system models. Once composed, these systems often lead to differential algebraic equations (DAEs). We'll discuss the differences between ordinary differential equations (ODEs) and DAEs, why physical models often result in DAEs and what makes these types of systems difficult to solve.
We will also demonstrate how symbolic manipulation not only allows a wide class of DAEs to be solved but also dramatically speeds up simulations without loss of accuracy.
